The game color purchase, for me, was all about getting the citadel colors in the dropper bottles that I prefer. I don\'t know what I was expecting, but they\'re decent paints that didn\'t offer me anything more than I already had witht he GW stuff. Only I like the bottles more.
I find some of the VGC paints very poor because of the high content of a waxy resiny substance, mostly in their green\'s and yellows.
Vallejo model color paints have some beautiful colors, and I love the finish they produce. I seal all my models anyway so it\'s not really that big a deal, but I like the appearance of the colors as I paint with them.
I love the range of colors in VMC, I like the finish, and for me they handle the dilution much better than the VGC paint. I could not stand the idea of not painting with my trusty ole\' SS Cam Black Brown or painting flesh without Black Red. LOVE my VMC paint!
If you have access to the range, I\'d buy a few bottles. If not, you can get some VMC sets from the \"FLames of War\" gaem paint range. They come in sets organized to paint military factions in historical colors so pick one country who\'s uniforms you like (It\'s always the Germans!) and give \'em a shot if you like!
Also for metalic paint, I STRONGLY urge you to pick up the Vallejo Model Air range. They\'ve got really fine pigment for airburshing and the metal paints are genius for painting mini\'s by brush I think.
