Holding your minis while painting

What do you use? For smaller figures I just glue them to a cork but it doesn't work for heavier figures. Any ideas?

I would drill a wire into it's heel and up it's leg past the ankle and use vise grips clamped to the wire as a handle.

I'm having a similar problem myself. I actually use champaign corks with a round GW base stuck to the bottom to hold my standard 25mm+ models, but I'm wanting to work on a larger model (the Warhead #2 for Dark Age) and I'm not sure how to mount him for painting.

Here's a pic of what I use to hold mine when I paint. The base at the bottom is for when I'm not painting.

Dorks for Orks
Theres lots of ways to hold your minis while painting, the articles section has allot of easy effective solutions. I myself use corks shoved in the top of a pill bottle for the bulk of my stuff, tho for heavier minis I use a pill bottle with a screw on cap drill two lil holes in the top and double pin the mini put the pins in the holes the cap and give a half a twist. Also blue tac, super glue, I'll hold one designated part of the mini and paint it last, pin vice, pliers with the hand grip rubber banded shut, really whatever works for ya theres tons of ways.

Always remember the articles, forums and The Sticky Thread (thanks Avelorn it's a great resource).

There are plenty of threads concerning this issue. Some are listed in the sticky thread. I know I've posted in at least one of the old threads.
