@fortunsfool - is this closer to what it really looks like. I turned up the light and contrast.

Paint the flame pure white, let that dry and drybrush with yellow. You might want to putty the real deep recesses in the flame as that they will, no matter what, come out black. I now usually putty over recessed eyes and such so as to eliminate the shadow that is cast.

Shawn. Are you talking about the flame from the pipe or from the shoulder torch. Remember that the flame on the shoulder torch is going to be blue. If you still want me to drybrush it yellow, then I will.

Doohh!! Sorry, you\'re right. Switching between different colors with different peoples mini\'s I get lost. Get your most brilliant blue and with white make it a very light blue. Then drybrush.......very sparingly.

Okay. I just wanted to make certain that it was all on the up and up.

Before I did my latest round of pictures. You said that I was going to have to adjust my thinking in two different ways. You then told me the first and said that we would leave the second for afterwards. Is this second way still waiting in the works? Or did I somehow subconsciously already do it? Or was my painting skill deemed insufficient to impart this level of knowledge? Just curious.

Either way, I will go through and do the painting bit tomorrow.

Thanks again.

just after a bit of osl advice on my latest mini HF sexy assassin under a street lamp, but wot colour should i use for the streetlamp? (i think prob white or light blue), the other issue is how will the light effect the colours on the mini? am thinking everything outside the light cone should be grey/black since our eyes only see in black and white in low light levels, but wot about inside the light cone? should i just heavily darken the colours for the shade and mix the light\'s colour into my highlights so theirs quite a contrast between shadow and highlight? or is their somethin else i should be doing?

@Uberdark: It\'s all about what looks best. Your model is looking pretty good. It looks to me like the shadow behind the model should move to move to his right a little.

@Darkmessiah: Here are some reference images that might be handy:

Nice scene layout. Good luck!

Squig

The black outline around the eyeball itself, change to a green and put a much lighter green dot in the center of the eye.

Uhhhhhh......I forget...........What I MIGHT have had in mind was when doing OSL and having multiple lightsources it can be much easier if you concentrate on only one lightsource at a time, get that down real good the do the others. In each case totally disregard the others and only focus on one.

Glad to help.

I\'d like to thank TAG for the help. I get overwhelmed sometimes and end up feeling bad when I cant respond quickly to every post. Also, that 3D program is a fantastic tool.
