Has anyone played this game, and if so, is it worth it?

My brother-in-law loves marvel comics and his birthday is next month. I was thinking about getting him this game. Are the figures any good? Is the game any good? Will he have to buy 100 expansion packs to make it interesting?

I\'ve played this with my son (13) and enjoyed the game - you don\'t need a load of extra boosters but will probably want to get a lot of extra characters so you can try them all.

Bought the starter set in Florida on holiday last year and have bought about seven or eight boosters since then.

I bought 2 limited edition Hulk figures from Playstation Magazine.. that\'s just because they had to say \"Limited\" and \"miniature\" in teh same sentence and I was sold!

(original paint jobs suck, though..)

Chrispy, I don\'t know what it\'s called, but we both suffer from the same condition...lol

yeah, some of the original minis from Wizkids do have crap paint jobs. I\'ll have to post some repaints when I can.

Fratricide....

My younger brother threatened to kill me once after a trip into town. Walking down the street, I automatically turned into my local branch of GW and he inadvertantly followed. Judging by his expression at the time and his subsequent threats, anyone would have thought I\'d taken him into a gay bar or something ala Police Academylol

He still tries to wind me up about my hobby, but as he races 50cc mopeds I reckon its a case of \'the pot calling the kettle black\'.:bouncy:
