Well Ive done everything I know to try and find a suitable trident for a space marine conversion and I look to the good people of CMON to help me fulfill this mission. Basically Im in need of one that would look right in the hands of a 40k space marine or terminator. If anyone has any ideas of a miniature I could take it from or how to make it let me know. thanks in advance

Making one would be tricky but it\'s certainly doable if you have plastic rod of the right diameters. You could always stretch sprue if you had to assuming you\'ve got any lying around.

I might have a spare arm knocking around if your interested. Send me a PM if you are.

I have a load of the dark eldar ones about 40 or so kicking around somewhere ..they are a little top heavy and fancy like but should wok ok in a space marine hands..
check the GW online store dark eldar range to see which one they are (wych I think ) and pm me your address if you want a couple..

To stretch sprue you heat it gently over/near a candle for example and then carefully pull apart. This is one traditional way of making whip aerials for armour modelling for example. With care (and a few attempts!) you can get some reasonable thin rods if you don\'t have a stockist of Evergreen plastic rod nearby.

And it\'s free, which is nice.

Cut out a W shape from plasticard and round it with a file? Would be a little fiddly, but likely would work and mean you can make it whatever size you want.
