HELP - Need help identifying 5 miniatures

I was rummaging through an old box and came across some dusty old minis and would like to get some help in finding out what they are.

I believe this is a GW elf but not sure exactly what or from which line up:

I think this is also an elf but have never seen this sculpt for any games:

This one has Battletech or something like Heavy Metal can you decide:

For the last two they appear to be from the same maker but I dont think they are from GW or Reaper any ideas:

I like the looks of the elf figures but have no reason for any elves and to be honest I have no idea where they came from. It might just have been a handme-downs from way back.

But any help would be appreciated!

Thanks in advance.

1st. Plastic Dark elf mage from a set of plastic mages..I think there were 4 different ones in the set.

2nd A dark elf assasin

3 heavy Gear Mecha which one I dont know?

The first one is a plastic Elf Witch that came with the 3rd Edition Talisman I believe, there was also a set of plastic wizards released by GW that contained her as well.
The second is again GW and if I am right and I probably aint is a Dark Elf assassin, the others I have no idea.

The second one is a GW figure for their Bloodbowl game. It\'s a dark elf star player. Can\'t remember the name, let me check...Horkon Heartripper.

Excellent work gang!!

That takes care of the dark elf female mage and the Bloodbowl elf.

Heavy Gear?? I would have never of guessed. :p

And those last 2 are interesting arent they!?

The first one is part of a set that was given away on the cover of White Dwarf. Each copy had a random mini from the set. I managed to get hold of the Light wizard and two of the amber wizard for some reason???

The second is indeed Horkon Heartripper

The last two look really familliar but I can\'t place them

#3 is definitely Heavy Gear.
It\'s either a Hunter or a Jaeger.
Not 100% sure which, as I haven\'t had the packaging for my 5 for years.
I\'m inclined to think Jaeger, because of the bazooka type gun.

4 and 5 are screaming Ral Partha at me, but I\'m probably wrong about that.
5 is actually in my bits box, but the manufacturer\'s been filed off so it could
fit in the base.
Which broke off.

I pulled the bases off and scraped away the remains and printed on the tab it says:

HHG 96 (C)

I did a google and came back with this:

HHG = Hunted Harlequin & Heartbreaker Hobbies & Games but nothing further on miniatures from them.

Does that ring a bell with anyone?

I\'d lay odds they are Heartbreakers, which I believe was lead by a former GW sculptor in the 90\'s. Tim Prow if I recall correctly... Not sure if he sculpted those however.

4 and 5 look to be the work of Tim Prow.
I know that HHG is, in fact, the Heartbreaker line.
If memory serves they did do a selection of dark elves circa \'96.

I don\'t have much else for you other than that.

Great input. I searched for all of Tim Prow\'s minis but cant seem to get back to circa 95-96 to see those particular minis. :(

I am considering trading off or selling the top 3. If anyone is interested?

The 2 HHG elves I am thinking of trying some new techniques and will most likely try a Dark Elf Drow coloring on them this weekend. I will need to recoat them in black clean them up but another question is what would be a good diorama or base to start with? Since, they are a unique scale and dont seem to fit into any game what would be most appealing to the community?

What type of figures might you be looking for, for Horkon at least, and possibly the plastic female? Races, styles, manufacturers, etc.?

Odd, my reply didnt take...

So in short, it went something along these lines:

I am always looking for GW Space Marines, and specifically Dark Angels more so for the robed marines.

And also any GW Imperial Guard would be nice to help out my boy.

Is that helpful?

Ok. I will step in and solve this problem. The last two (4 and 5) are Grendal miniatures for the wargame Leviathan. They are apart of the Elf command blister. Number 4 is a standard bearer and number is 5 came with the blister. I am not sure what his purpose is since there is another Champion guy in the blister.

And I think you are right. Heartbreaker did make the minis for this system.

Excellent work!! And, Komapsumnida.
:flip:

I have an extra GW dragon and make a nice little diorama with the 3 of them.

But I wanted to find some pictures of what lead to these minis being sculpted to get an idea what they were about. With your information I should be able to scour the net or the local game shop for some details. But if you already have some backup information in print could you pass it along?

Thanks!

:flip:

I just googled it and it seems to mean somethign like this:

\"When I buy my morning pastry (carefully avoiding the dried squid laid out next to it), the elderly shopkeeper smiles and bows with a “komapsumnida” (thank you very much).\"

That\'s from a site about living and teaching in South Korea.

Oh god. I know what it means. I\'ve been here for six years. I was being facetious. :)

I just find it annoying when people speak Korean to me for no reason other than I am here. I hear it all of the time; I don\'t need it spoken to me in a mostly English spoken (typed) forum.
