Scarecrow, this is Off Topic - no painting discussons allowed.
Oops, this is General Discussion - so maybe we can talk about painting.
One simple thing, invest in a background (see my sig about the photo cube, there is a printable version of a blue-white fade - or go to a photoshop and get a card). The countertop has some nice lighting (halogen?) but is a bit distracting from the minis.
You seem to be right on the cusp of an 8 with your keratis warrior. Keep at it. There is a big jump here from 7.0 to 8.0 and you are setting right on the fence.
If you can speed paint a centrus clone and go above 7, then there is little reason you cannot slow down and spend a bit more time on a mini and get an 8. I see some rough areas in the clone along the legs and hands. Quick ink washes? Work at making all the blends smoother and take photos of the work to see what we will see.
I often think I\'m done with a mini and then take a photo only to discover some area that just doesn\'t work or needs lots more work. It is amazing what you see when the mini is 6\" tall.
Hope I\'ve helped.
