Well I thought before I get posting away I should introduce myself, so here goes.

I'm Dan, I live in the UK and for some reason chose a ridiculously long user name but that's irrelevant. I have been collecting and playing 40k for the last 7 or 8 year, i loose count. although I've been collecting for awhile my painting skills never really got much better then tabletop standard but by joining here i hope to change that.

I have pretty consistently collected space marines, although I have never managed to get more then a few squads painted in one chapter before I decide its awful and change my mind.

Not really sure what else to add here, so if you want to know anything else, ask away.

Welcome to CMoN. We hope you enjoy your stay. A few pointers to help you settle in :-

1: Don't be surprised if you post a pic on the voting pages and you dont get many comments or comments that are not particularly helpfull, especially if your standard is not too high to start. You can use the voting page as a rough guide to whether you are improving but also bear in mind that it is CoolMINIornot. So even though your painting may have improved, if it's on a mini that is not considered "cool" then you may still get a lower rating.
2: Best place to get helpful tips and pointers to improve is here on the Forums. There are plenty of regulars of all standards who are more than willing to part with their knowledge if you should but ask.

Another tip: Use the WIP forum to get feedback while you're working on a mini, and then just post the finished mini for voting
