Cool, interesting mini, I like the face. I can't really offer any advice on highlighting the black because I can't really do it well myself, but perhaps someone who is better at it can do so. The "cat hat" is looking good. You probably haven't finished this bit yet but the knee pads need some more work I think, I am not sure how you are planning them, one seems to be grey and the other more black - but that is probably as you are still working on them!

the knee cap is a bit of a let down because when i was paiting it i was using only one desk lamp and the dark wash was just right, but when i got a better look the morning after i found out i applied too much of it, which means all my hightlight work on the edges will be wasted when i do those side bits again

same with the hat, it was only grey prime with black wash, that place will get a lot of attention so i need to be careful of it.

Ah, painting is something to make time for, it's a very good way to de-stress from a stressy job. ^^
