So they finally post the winners names & a pic of the stunning Orc, but only put pics of runners up!! No disrepect to the runners up, as they are all deserving a pic but it would have been nice to see all the winners!

But wait you can see them all for free in the an outstanding publication soon!!!:cussing:

The photoshoot is 27th october. so maybe 3month after that.

Hm.. the photos are so and so.. especially in colour and darkness... but sharp at least! :)

\"Bad Russian Guy\" got a silver trophy in lotr it seems! :) Sometimes I\'m good with names!

This really annoys me, because I don\'t live in the UK I wont see a copy of that publication and the US White Dwarf won\'t print it and it may take a year for them to eventually do a small amount of coverage. So in order for them to sell a magazine which they would anyways to those who want it, the rest of the world will not be able to see the images of the winners.

dragon forge, don\'t worry mate, i\'m sure when it comes out some one would be able to mail you a copy.

Oh I have that covered, But thats just me what about all the other people in the world who don\'t have that access I do to getting a copy. Unless the work is posted to forums like CMON it will never bee seen by the rest of the world and thats a shame. At a time when GW sales are down and they could use a little good PR, posting one image of each of the winners would go a VERY LONG WAY to appease its cult following on gamers and miniature collectors.

Ive worked in the miniature game industry to long now that the whole save a dollar to make 3 when if you spend 10 you make a hundred principle absolutely befuttels the hell out of me

* not sure if befuttels is a real word but thats how I feel...

It was my understanding that with all the photographic equipment they brought with this year they were taking pictures for print because they know many of us will not be able to return in October for a photo shoot. I could be wrong though.

Yes.. they did that last year as well. However they don\'t seem to take proper care in editing/leveling/colour correcting the pics afterwards. :( The booklet from last year is a testament to that.. the bad paperquality wasn\'t the full story.

Well thats all done post photography and of course you can give the printer the best stuff in the world and then they can screw that up. So who knows what we will see in the end.

Something I didn\'t notice at first is that the Orc (k) is a 40k figure!!!!!!!

Quality control or what?

no, no its a fantasy orC.... they just got it wrong on the website, some of the things that i used for the \"conversion\" (although its 90% scratch) were ork nobs components such as the hands or the upper-half face, but theres not a single detail of 40k and thats why it was entered in fantasy :) (as for the round base, just a matter of space as it is allowed to swap them ) :)

HI Albert, sorry I was being ironic about GW not getting the class the figure was judged in correct, in the big introduction!

Fantastic piece!

Yeah they do seem to have been saved rather a lot darker than they were for real. The robes on this bloke were a deep, rich turqoise for example. Still, there are a whole lot of quality models there. Rocketandroll\'s Nightbringer is up there but it\'s a shame there isn\'t a shot of the back because that is where all the real detail was.

This one was possibly my favourite runner up:

Woo hoo!!

Pics of BOTH of my entries are up there on the GW site!

The first mini, the FW Tech priest on the clockwork machine... that\'s my 40K single entry... and the Nightbringer with twin blades two rows down is my 40K monster entry! (pitty they didn\'t have a shot of the back of it with the swarm of moths, but hey, that\'ll teach me to do all the freehand on the back :)

Well chuffed they made it up on the website!!!
