what does GW define as \'artifacts\'

ie:

\"As always, the Open competition is your opportunity to let your imagination run wild. Anything goes! Your entry could be a single model, a small army, or whatever takes your fancy. Please note that we will not accept artifacts into this category. Please note that entries can be no larger than 18”x18”x18”.\"

my guess is older, out of print models?

thanks!

Don\'t quote me for this, but since it is \"open\" category, you probably can enter, say real-size model of a bolter or something :)

no, i am pretty sure that artefacts are life size stuff. some people were entering actual swords, armour, life sized bolters and \'nid heads etc.

it\'s exactly this sort of stuff they don\'t want to see. Wont allow to be entered.

I remember several years ago some one created a very \"anotomically accurate looking\" Genestealer hand. Upset some poor kiddies mother or the kiddie no doubt.

But given the amount of Styrene Tube, Insulation and Duct Tape Lasguns that I\'ve seen entered and GW\'s use of Gamesday UK as a Marketing event to Investors, they no doubt want to \"Up the Ante\" on the quality of Entries.

Plus given todays atmosphere of Hightened Security the thought of hundreds of teenagers walking around with facsimilie weapons, must cause some poor copper a \"sphincter tightening moment\".

GW\'s rules on the entrance to Gamesday Clearly state that No Replica Weapons or Military Uniforms are allowed into the event. (However they didn\'t police that rule very well last year as someone was wearing a \'Soviet Era\' Russian Military Uniform).

yeah i noticed him, entered a diorama of two ships fighting, wondered why he was the only person dressed like that, despite the countless \"inquisitors\" woandering around
