So, in September 2008 I received my Collector's Edition of Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning. I allready knew that I would receive the miniature of Grumlok & Gazbag with it and I allready knew that I would do everything in my power to paint it in a passable way. Passable meaning not too shabby for a powerpainter and for myself absolutely great.

In January I painted the miniature as my very first miniature. It was absolutely terrible. I didn't thin the paint and used a chaos black as primer. It looked horrid and clobbered up with fat pieces of foundation paint. So then I made the decision to polish the miniature back in nailpolish remover to his startedition. And last week I put it up back with superglue and primed it nicely with skull white.

Because I didn't want the head to look like it was painted comic style, like alot of painters do these days, I used a three layer Dark Angels Green as basecoat for the skin. A boltgun Metal for the armor. Scab Red for the shirt of Grumlok. The cape was a three layer scorched Brown, this was very nasty to apply. For Gazbag I used a mixture of 50/50 Calthan Brown and Knarloc Green.
