Decided to go ahead and start a general WIP thread instead of starting up new specific WIP threads each time I begin a new project.

So, to get started here are the first two videos from my Sanguinary Guard commission project.

I really like your take on the alabaster, it looks very good and unless you were to put it next to a true white figure I doubt many people would notice. I was a little dissapointed about the wings though, I honestly thought you had just primed them black and had them puttyed to the base to check the fitting. They look very unfinished next to the rest of the figure.

Agreed, great choice with the black though, looks loads better than the white imo.

Nice work on the power sword too, great effect. What your plan for the bases? I apologise if it was in the video I was watching it with music on

I did a little in-progress video showing the colors that go into the white. You'll also be able to see the work on the wings with the last one that I did.

A for the bases, it's just going to be minimal flock and texture since it's a commission piece and I didn't get anything extra to do fancy bases.

Looking very nice, thank you for sharing your WiP. Bummer you don't get to put more interesting bases on them but I guess that's how things go.
