its a cool model.I love the base,im not to keen on metallic paints on the whole.I also like the freehand on the book.

i would make some parts on the base stand out more eg the gun it is hard to see.

cool mini

ps jus wait until my attempt at a kislev model lol.

A little bit inspired by Romain\'s French GD entry here perhaps? It doesn\'t come off too badly on comparison either.

I think the metals are noticably improved here from the ones on your Kislev although a little more contrast from dark to light would make them pop more.

I like the overall subdued and dirty colour pallete you used on him and the dark, chipped red of the gun is OK for me. The base is good too as Thecadian said.

Thanks for your feedback guys, here\'s an extra shot of the gun (no pun intended :p), I even drilled the barrels :]

Man, he looks really crusty this close up...

Any more votes/comments/feedback greatly appreciated :)

i think that in places on the gun youve put to much rubbed off paint on.Try thinking of what parts of the gun would be knocked about the most.

Nice work Bill, a big 7-ish from me. You\'ve got all the ideas and knowledge. All you need now is practice and patience and then my shares in Bill.com will rocket in value lol

Keep it up and we\'ll see improvement in every miniature. No doubting that!

Still improving Bill, definately. Do I see some Romain influence in this mini?

It is very brave of you to show such enlarged pictures; although I believe mini\'s should be bigger on a picture than in reality, you can go too big!!! But that new camera must be fun......do any of the rest of the family get to use it?

on the gun, you could go back with the red and crisp up the edges of the chipping. And on the scroll/book pages, some highlights on the upper edges would IMO help.

Still, it\'s still very hard to believe you\'ve just hit teenage years. Very well done!

Hehe, thanks guys :D Next time I\'ll downsize the photos a bit. I\'m having great fun with the new camera, it\'s kind of scary when you can zoom in on the Grey Knight\'s head so that it\'s almost A4 size and barely blurred

I thought I\'d left a reply here, but I guess I left a comment instead :)

Pretty good mate - I\'ll get a picture taken of my Scratchbuilt grey knight in power soon :)

Hehe (By scratchbuilt, I actually mean based on a plain plastic marine + GS)

Youve got alot of good stuff going on. The battle damage freehand weathering. You are on you way to being a great painter.

Did the vote thing.
