I can\'t find the minis that some one posted a while back... They are little Grey aliens, classic look. Anyone know who makes them ?

If anyone know the game UFO Enemy Unknown, you know what they look like :D

If you are looking for classic greys Lance and Laser has some. There is a picture here Discount Hobby has a better pic than Lance and Laser does on their site.

Something like thoes, but just better castings. I found some other ones, but they lack the \"largeness\" of the heads, but are really well cast.

Sorry for DP :)

I found a similar thread over at Reaper message board, and it would seem I\'ve found all there is to find, Griffin Miniatures Grey Aliens being the best of the lot.

Yeah Vike, the full name is X-Com UFO Defense: Enemy Unknown for the first game :)

Those are great. I shudder to think of an X-COM line of minis. That would.... own me.

If you find X-COM the PC game (circa 1994) you can use the excellent \"Dos Box\" to play it on a modern PC (in a window!)

It would surely pull all my money :p hehe :D I\'m thinking of getting togeather some minis that would fit the universe, and try to set up some game rules... at least it\'s fun for me to do :D Already working on the X-com marines in Personal Armor.

Hmm, I might try DosBox, cos my game keeps crashing once and so often... thanks HakoMike!

Egads...I should dig that game back out....I haven\'t played it in years. No matter how cool the graphics have gotten over the years, very few have EVER come close to that in terms of gameplay....and it would translate very well to a miniatures game since it is TURN BASED.

I know I love playing it :D And yeah, it would :) But only two factions :( And X-Com / Aliens couldn\'t really play against eachother.... or could they? Hmm... Could be like the American\'s had a team and the Europeans and so on, instead of a global thing, and different \"clans\" of Aliens fighting for earth.... :D

oooh... that could work :)

Xcom kicks ass

The two factions theory is incorrect :p

The aliens were attempting to infiltrate governemtnts, and so, in theory you could any number of factions such as:

Xcom units
Friendly government troops
Friendly police forces
Friendly civilians

The aliens
Unfriendly government troops

etc etc etc

And if you look at the later games (Apocalypse etc)
there are many different factions :)

Well, the idea was to base it off the Original, not some sad sequal\'s :D To me there is only one true X-Com, and that is the First one, the second (or third actually made after Apocolypse was begun as a revenue boost) X-Com Terror from the Deep is acceptable as well, as it is basicaly a change to the existing troops and items :)

But it does give the artistic freedom I was looking for ;) Cheers! :)

Geez, it\'s actually free for download! :D w00t thank you Peteh!!! I hope this one doesn\'t crash :flip:

Just a dos box FYI, I have never gotten Terror from the Deep to work on it. X-COM works fine though.

The front end \"D-fend\" is very handy too. Link: http://members.home.nl/mabus/ ... it let\'s you set up dos box profiles for old games. I\'m playing Microprose\'s \"Master of Magic\" with it too.

I almost fainted.... I\'ve downloaded some of my alltime favorite games! That site is GOLD!

I have no idea how to handle Dosbox... at all... I guess I need to put some time into figuring it out :p

I agree - the first Xcom was a classic.

Never played terror though. I only had Xcom 1 and apocalypse - which was - admittedly, a bit of a let-down :/
