green stuff tabards - roman style

hi CMONers

I\'m looking to make an ultramarines 40K army, very \"romany\" in style but to achieve this i want to have alot of tabards etc and there are not many int the sets you can buy which means GS time.
the top halves Im ok with but the tabards between the legs are causing serious hair-pulling, throwing of tools, screams of annoyance etc... because to sculpt the folds AND keep the \"hang\" of them true is VERY hard!

any tips of the trade people can share?
thanks alot for saving my sanity!

I assume by \"Romany\" you mean Roman-ESQUE and not Gypsy Romany :D lol

I\'m ALSO assuming you mean the dangly strips tabard like you get on the plastic commander sprue...?

Using gs for this: First make the basic shape of the tabard, fixing it to the model then let it cure. Thats right, leave it alone :) Once this has set add thin rolls of gs to create the folds in the fabric.

The main thing here is to allow your first section to cure so it does not get pulled out of shape. This will then give it a more solid backing to allow you to add your folds

I hope this helps ;)
