[Cerridwyn1st]

Well, it may be a bit late to mention this, since the conventionis already over. Still, I had a great time getting a chance to meet some cool folks from CMON.

GrailQuest (if you didn\'t see a post elsewhere on this) is held in St. Augustine, not too far from where I live in Jacksonville, FL.

Airhead talked it up and several people came to visit. IPaintMinis and her mom, TAB Studios; Grump brought his family, and Airhead was there with his daugher Jen.

Grumb had the best painted Fantasy single, and TAB\'s Eagle diving on an orc won too, but I don\'t remember the catagory for sure.

Grumb beat me in the Fantasy Single then sat down with me for a class in painting faces and eyes. (Does anyone else see something wrong with this picture? )

Thanks to TAB and IPM for the CMON U t-shirt. I\'ll be wearing it in the Paint and Take area on Sat. at GenCon this year.

Mel, we really enjoyed meeting you and your family this weekend. And, as I said when I took your class, I always learn something that helps me every time I sit down and paint with someone, thanks for the help on my faces, and I promise I will try not to be so \"miserly\" with my paints!

The other awesome part of the weekend for RedDawn and the boys and I was that we finally got to meet TAB (Tracy), Ipaintminis(Becca), DM of Doom (Todd), Stefan, and we get to hang out with Airhead again all weekend! It was just fantastic.

It was very cool finally getting to meet and hang out with all of you folks. I can honestly say that they are all as nice or nicer in person than they are here online! And, Becca really does say \"cute\" a lot!

Look forward to next year if we can make it down again, or to seeing some of you here for GD Atlanta next year if you can make it.

Gotta sign off, long day of driving today and have to be at work early tomorrow.

It was absolutually wonderful to meet the Bakers...Jim JR. is a super cool kid, bennett is great! Dawn is just as funny as she is on here (maybe more... fat free half n half anyone?) Grumb is just as wonderful as he is on here...amazing! cant WAIT to get together again!

Kev...stupid dragon it will get defeted!!!...it was great to meet jen...too bad we didnt get together more. next time next time........

MegaCon `06 - Paint and Take

Sure, Becca, I\'d love to have you sit in a Paint and Take. I\'ll be running a big PNT at MegaCon `06; Airhead will be there as well.

For that matter, the organizer for MegaCon wants us to have a really big PNT; would you care to join us as a Paint volunteer?

I\'m a long way from finalizing things for MegaCon, but I might do some classes there as well.

Mega is in Orlando in February. By attendance count, it is larger than Origins, but that does not tell the whole story. It is primarily a dealer\'s con with a lot of gaming, anime, and cosplay thrown in.

Sorry Dauber, she had long pants on all weekend and I couldn\'t get her to take them off to find out.

Wait.... that doesn\'t sound very good.... I meant she didn\'t take them off.....no, still sounds bad.... let me just leave it at we never saw her knees....

I will get that blighter!!! And hopefully I\'ll have my troop done by then! I\'ve got to get going on them. Decided last night I\'m going to clean, prep and prime all of the minis and do them assembly line style. I\'ve never done that kind of painting before, so it will be a new experience for me.
