Got a letter from Steelcult he is ok.

He sent news to us he seems OK but, I am going to sit through the storm and reply. It takes 9-11 days to get there or get here from there.
I miss the sense of humor and kindness he bestowed here. He says he can see the stars well there and he is becoming slim in a rapid way. From the sounds the heat is blasting .
He misses his wife so. I wish we could beam her there for him. Scratch that No I think she would be safer if we beamed him to her huh.. I thought you all would want the update.
Do they let you mail goodies to him or will they have a cow? Any one know?
Al-Tagaddum seems to be where he is now I have too look on a map .


If you want leave notes and I can include a print out of this topic in the letter. That might be good fun.

Got a note too. The only thing I could get out of him is water flavors (Gatoraide, Kool-Aide, etc.) evedently the water tastes like the plastic bucket. If we get some time tomarrow (Francine) we will round up some gatoraide for them. I only hope that there is some to be found in Orlando.

@TAB Studio...mailing packages is not frowned upon, it is encouraged. PM me and I\'ll try to chip in too.

Having served in the first Gulf War, I know some of the things the military guys tend to miss. Candy, cookies and reading material are all good things to send, as is the powdered gatorade and kool-aid. (Although, I\'d recomend the gatorade for the electrolytes)

He is a civilian contractor (a bit different than the guys I used to work with that were \"contractors\"), but he is living in a tent city with about 10k marines.

Gotta get out and get him some water flavors. A White Dwarf and a Florida Sportsman might be fun to throw in as well. I was kidding him about the fishing last time we got to hear from him. lol

edit: or the new conan comics, that should be easier to fit into a package than a large thick book.

He had posted the thread above and I am careful with peoples information. I worried if he wanted his address out there he would have posted it I probably worry too much

Good to hear he\'s okay. He\'s one of the few around the miniboards who\'s actually from Austin. Now I wish we had managed a get together for a little painting session before he left.
