getting my first reaper mini\'s!

up till now i have only worked with GW stuff (and some crap figures from cludo when i was drunk???) but i have just bourght two reaper figs... judas bloodspire and khong-to.

i also want to get my hands on some rackham, i was tempted to sign up for a mini exchange but i have a feeling that i dont have enough mini\'s nor could get ones i painted done in time....:( i have plenty of GW unpainted metals but 30% of people hate GW figs so yet another reason not to join a ME..... oh well, i just wanted to share my joy over buying summit different from GW

Congrats with broadening (sp?) your mini horizon :)

About the ME. I see no reason why you can\'t join... 1. you seem to wanna join, 2. you have unpainted miniatures to send. 3. you don\'t know who you are gonna sedn to, nor whom you will resieve from in advance.. 30% doesn\'t like GW you say... still leaves 70% ;)... Besides you don\'t know what you are gonna get back too... might be something you like, maybe not... That\'s the fun of the ME... you never know what you are gonna get, could be a lot, could be just what you have been waiting for, can be just one mini or even something you don\'t feel inspired to paint, maybe one fig you love. The painting of what you get is an option and fun if you manage... but no obligation. I haven\'t seen painted pictures from most ME joiners.

those seem some fair points, i might join.... when is the next one? i\'ll strugle with posting, due to school, can only hope the PO is open on the weekends...

Market Street Post Office, Birkenhead is open until 12:00 Noon on Saturday\'s.
If you want something different there is a small model shop (mostly Historical figures 54mm scale) in Birkenhead Market.
He also has a supply of Vallejo Model Colour Paint. Far Far superior to GW\'s pots.

If you are looking for something different to GW there is the Iron Wind range who\'s main supplier in the UK is in Liverpool:

Merseyside L1 4JN

Or hop on a train to Manchester Picadilly where Forbidden Planet (Oldham Street ) have a small range of Reaper and Fanboy3 have a range of Reaper, Privateer press, Confontation and a few other figures.

:D wow i live a stones through away, im so getting some new paint, f*^%$£*ing GW with their £2 pots....:flame::mad::flame: thanks for the info, i owe you a drink........:flip::bouncy::flip:
