Okay the model is finished, but I was never too happy with the base so I thought I\'d finish the one I had originally planned.

It\'s made of plasticard and polyurethane filler. It\'s just blu-tac\'d together just now and still has to get another wall installed.

At this point the base is looking too smooth.
I\'d suggest some form of texturing to break up the serility.

what DR said, but rather than texturing the floor, how about a painted marble/obsidian effect?

If you are adding another wall how about opening the doorway so more of the model is visible?

whilst i like the idea of the marble effect, i think some industrial type texture would work better as a nod to the old space hulk games

i did something similar on one of my baes the other day. i made a press mould of some plasticad, put a very thin layer of gs over the top of the base and pressed it over. worked a treat

what is polyurethane filler and what part of the base have you made from it?

love this classic magus model. I need to find one on ebay!

Could you include pictures? I can\'t really get a clear picture in my head of what you did.
