Gapow WIP - new pic

After half starting a couple of WIP\'s I thought I\'d take leaf out of BPI\'s book and just do one on what ever takes my fancy at the time. I\'ve still got my Space Crusade mini\'s to start painting and my Skaven Blood Bowl team to finish, but I\'ve also started a Biel Tan Eldar army.

Just doing some conversions at the moment, and I need some advice on my Banshee Exarch\'s weapon...............I think I may have got carried away. Is it ridiulously long or is it passable as a double handed power glave? I\'m useless at GS and the like so have just made precision cuts and glued it together.

* removed crap pic*

It\'s made out of 5 parts, cut from two Dire Avenger Exarch power weapons. It replaces the power axe from the Old Banshee Exarch model (which I\'ve saved for later)

p.s Apologies for crap pic, it\'s too late to be digging my camera out, so this is off my phone

Hi Gapow, the length of that Halberd doesn\'t look too bad to me, as you\'ve managed to keep the handle slender enough. I look forward to seeing it in focus :D B.

Ok I\'ve taken some better pics, don\'t judge the painting as its 15yrs old, I got the mini off a friend :)

The length doesn\'t look so bad in these pics, just not sure how I\'ll get him in a figure case,lol

Well I did say I'd take a leaf out of BPI's book and just do one WIP, just wish I could paint as quick and as good as him :)

After watching 300 I decided to do some starker shading on my red cloth for my Skaven Blood Bowl team (the capes in 300 go from black to blood red). It's split opinions amongst my friends as some think it's too dark but other like it. It still needs a bit of highlighting and I haven't blended it in yet, what do you guys think?

The shading was done with 50/50 scab red and black, then the mid tone is 50/50 scab red/blood red.

Hi Gapow, let's hope we don't have to wait a year between updates again! :p

The red on the skirt looks nice & striking for a BB team. A little bit of thin Badab Black would help with blending into the shade too.

Cheers, B.
