Hi Michael and the fine folks of CMON,
BTW: Still love playing Onslaught even though I/we get slaughtered almost every game...
I just saw this post (https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/coolminiornot/xenoshyft-onslaught/posts/1380520) on the KS campaign page where you are announcing Game Night Kits. AWESOME!
However, some individuals will not have access to those kits through no fault of them (no local gaming stores, no stores will host the game, etc...). And this would mean, for those who backed the game and that helped make the game what it is today and kept promoting it for the fine folks of Cool Mini or Not, they would not have an opportunity to have those exclusive cards unless they buy them through expensive and (at times) abusive eBay resellers...
So, here are a couple options that could be done in support of the original 3,367 backers that trusted you and allowed you to create a rich game with another, better one coming down the pipes (yeah... I know.. I am putting a bit of pressure...):
Would you/CMON be willing to entertain such an idea or, even better, actually go ahead with it?
Now, honestly, I don't know what goes in the physical creation of these Game Night Kits (or a slimmed down version of the kits) and the business impact of such a proposition so it might not even be feasible. If that is the case, if you could explain why it is not feasible, it would be greatly appreciated.
In either cases, I would hope that CMON would be kind enough to find a satisfactory solution for those backers that will not have access to these exclusives...
Thanks for considering your backers that simply can't have access to these exclusives but so love the game.
phil.

- You could offer a free PDF of the night kit (although this is not ideal): you could send an email to the 3,367 backers with a unique code for each of them that would allow a one time download of the PDF, AFTER the game night has occurred (lets say a month after, which I think backers will understand and support)
- Option to buy the GMK after the game night event either:
- directly through CMON in an exclusive fashion (a special one time use code or KS campaign email validation, like CMON's fancy pledge manager) or
- in stores.
- Option to buy a slimmed down version where it contains the instructions and one set of the cards and at a cheaper price either:
- directly through CMON in an exclusive fashion (a special one time use code or KS campaign email validation, like CMON's fancy pledge manager) or
- in stores.
