Roxor is fire monsters and turtles...turtle power!
The heroes are a nice compliment trio, healer (Princess Ruby), support/dps (Deep Root Scout), and attack (Star Guild Sapper)
The Boss can choose betwen attack form or Armor form, which is a nice touch.
Von Drakk is undead mostly.
The heroes are an odd trio, dps/healer (Sister of Light), support/range (Celestial Herald), and support/dps/attack -shapeshifter (Von Wilding/Von Wilder).
The boss can also shapeshift.
For those that love the Palladin (like me) I prefer Von Drakk, but both are fun!

it really depends on your preferences.
Cavern of Roxor gives you more fire based enemies to make the whole more complete. Heroes are Mario/Zelda like, so if you like those videogames, then the heroes here are good for you
Drakk Manor gives you new types (undead) and new abilities (potions and spells) to enemies. The heroes here are pretty powerful imho, also if you like the Van-Helsing theme, it helps
Imho both are very good choices. Personally I'd go with the Drakk, because I like the look of the heroes and some monsters more. (but then again I didn't really choose, I bought both)

Roxor is the more challenging set. Roxor is the toughest boss so far, and the turtles and beetle are no slouches. The miniboss (rockgut) is so-so.
Von Drakk is a bit easier because the undead are arguably not that great, but the Pumpkin Patch spawn point is awesome and so is the miniboss (Death Spectre). Von Drakk himself is about the same power wise as Starfire.

Both. I originally thought I would just get one and found a good deal from an OLGS to get one of them for $8 - $10 less than most other stores for a total of about $20 off of MSRP. Then I got the base set in and started gluing and said forget just having one time to find a good deal on the other expansion. In the end I found a similar deal on the other and I am very pleased I did.Seriously, I would say find one you can get the best deal on and start with that. From a gameplay and rules standpoint I would say Drakk Manor, but the turtles and fire things are fun so Roxor it is. It just comes down to what theme speaks to your more.
