Future Figures I'd Love to See

Okay Ted, I don't know what the rules implications would be, but I'd really love to see some other figures in both/all armies:

  • Dead Rivet (sprawled out face down maybe) - Awesome for dioramas and battlefield markers.
  • Injured Rivet. (Okay, so that could be a not-so-hard conversion... I can tackle that on my own.)
  • Medic and Nurse Rivets. (You've probably already considered healing troops.)
  • A Jeep (I know that you sculpted one early on before the game.)
  • A troop truck and a flatbed truck (Objective markers?)

Basically, general purpose support figures.

How do they effect the game? I have no idea. But I'd love to have them on my battlefield.

Okay, back to painting...

A truck or jeep would work really well, have been checking out suitable toys to use. Takes up a square so 4 Rivets can go in it and gives them a move buff

I think a lot of us were thinking along similar lines, I can easily picture a 4 square (1 grid) truck with a rear flat bed that would hold just two infantry, leaving space at the front for a cab, maybe with the front fold down window allowing the driver to be over-sized in the rivet style and match other sculpts, and maybe a closed in cab for the blight with just viewing slits similar to the landkrieger. this could work well to transport a hero or two but no more so no area of the board is too suddenly swamped by lots of models-as the only point in them being mounted was if the vehicle is faster than them. Thought maybe there could be a bail-out when the vehicle is hit, with the passengers taking an x dice attack and scattering similar to tank-shock survivors, but only to the rear half of the vehicle?

I was talking to my other half over the weekend and thought Indian themed faction could have war elephants and Gurkha's and African could have Lions (although she was trying to work out how to get some form of cat into the game) :)

All really neat ideas. That truck model is beautiful. The idea of a flatbed truck has been on my mind for a while but it's something that I dropped. But now I'm thinking it should come back. It was a plug like idea where you could fit 2 1x1 infantry into the back and they would gain the movement and armor of the truck. But unlike a plug, if the truck was hit, the riders wouldn't be destroyed, like you're saying daddy. This also give slower units, like the wolverine a new role in the game.

Here's an old sketch:

And here's a WWI style armored car that never made it. This was going to be a possible stretch goal. It's very true to the WWI armored car era. Those were some really neat machines and I just really like this sketch. Was thinking 2x1 with a plug maybe.

Ghurkas and war elephants...I love the sound of that.

The armored car is amazing. Did you consider using half-tracks as it would match the WW1 theme a little better and match the tracked bikes? Or is something of that nature blurred out in the "confidential"? :D

Yes the Armored Car is a +1 here.

Also two of us are getting ready to introduce our little lunch time game group to Rivet Wars. Ted are you legally responsible if time after time we don't stop on time and get fired?

I love the armored car and am looking forward to seeing more cavalry in general - lancers, Cossacks, even horse-drawn carts.

For an armoured car I somehow can see the troops hanging onto the side of a vehicle as well.

Other units:
Spider flame thrower bots
Strandbeest type unit
And something with a heavily shielded top that can move forward then instead of shooting up its armour level. Think roman legions, or armidillo
