Funny story: Dark Eldar vs Marines

Once upon a time, I challenged an imperial fists player to a match, 1000 points. The whole time he bragged about his terminator librarian\'s force weapon, and how it would lay waste to my entire army. He approached my warrior squad with it, preparing to leave a whole pile of dead in his wake. Then I shot him with a blaster. He failed his save and died. I proceeded to mop up the other half lol of his army rather quickly.

All in all, the lesson is that you should not over estimate the power of one unit. Unless it is a dark eldar archon with agonizer, combat drugs, hell mask, horrorfex, and shadow field. All for the low low price of 150 points, he will wipe out at least 1500 points of the enemy\'s army before biting the dust. I speak form experience. :moon:

Nice one I remember a game against a very inexperienced Marine player. I lost two warriors and Jetbike in a game of 2000 points... he had a bike squad that was in close combat with a raider all through the game, failing to roll sixes

... like one battle: my 2500 points of Space marines vs. a friends 2500 Eldar... with only one Wraithlord (talk about one fair player...)... well... I lost the game as he got first turn and Baharroth and a squad of swooping falcons w/ exarch effectively annihilated 2 of my squads in the first turn... from there, it went down... suffice to say I managed to get 380 VP, and he disintegrated my entire army...

i don\'t know...

ANYONE... (especialy us marine players) can roll a one, so always have a back up plan, even for those 500 point games! But then again i always loose, so why listen to me?lol

I just remembered something else...

In a different 1000 point game against the same player, my same army list, his was slightly different, there was another hilarious incident involving \"rolling ones from time to time.\" I had crashed a raider carrying my HQ + retinue right in front of his scouts- he had shot it down with a heavy bolter. It was his turn- my HQ was about 6\" in front of his 10 scouts- 5 with sniper rifles. As we all know, snipers hit on a 2+. He shot, and rolled 5 ones. All at once. I swear I saw a tear run down his cheek.

Good times...
