First lets start by explaining why I have started a blog.

I am a chap who enjoys painting, and looks for games as an excuse to paint. Don't get me wrong, I love playing games, but I love painting more!

The purpose of this blog is to encourage me to complete one of the many projects that I have started.

I started a wood elf army in the summer of 2006 and managed to paint a Treeman and a unit of Dryads. The Treeman especially took far longer than expected and I managed to get distracted. I have since been playing Flames of War, and whilst I have had great fun painting and playing a Italian 15mm army, I had abandoned the warhammer game.

I have now decided to finish the Wood Elves, but need to mark this commitment with a blog, otherwise I will get distracted again and will never finish the blighter.

Rules for the wood elves:

1) Each figure to be as good as I can get it.

2) Autumn theme

3) Natural colours as much as possible

4) No metal anywhere. i.e. wood swords etc.

I have assembled and part painted 8 glade guard to date, but I am not very happy with the way they look.

Photos are included in the folder. Comments are welcome.
