Ooh boy! An update just for me :) That Inquisitor guy has a lot of character and is off to a promising start, Fox! I hope you'll share more updates on it in the near future. As far as Dave goes, I'm really glad the resin went well and man, it looks incredible! I remember when you had trouble with water effects many months ago and eventually got it squared away so I'm thrilled that you nailed it on your first go this time. I look forward to seeing the mini on its base as you've been working hard on Dave and it will be feel really rewarding to finally finish him.

the finished piece looks fantastic. really nice work, although being a touch too dark the images do give it a rather fitting atmosphere, really like how the saturated green, contrast with the more muted purples and reds.

Cheers guys.

MaM - I've got a few different settings to play around with. I've ordered a proper lightbox and an extra lamp, the small cost seems worth it for the amount of time I've spent on this guy. I want to get some decent photos

Dave is looking reat, although you spotted it right, pictures are a bit dark and in them the green slime at the base reclaims a tiny bit more attention that they should. IMO
On the last one it looks more natural... I think you should try and find the sweet spot between them, with such a big project it's worth the time for sure.

I like the dark background with Dave's color scheme but I think a light box will definitely help you get even higher quality pictures at the same time. You did a fantastic job on this mini and it is among your best work which is no small feat! :)

I love the dark pics Fox! Very atmospheric and suits the subject well for me.

You did a top notch job on Dave and his base, some really interesting techniques and the contrast between the sombre overall pallette and that fluo green works brilliantly.

Excellent stuff...you should be very proud of this piece.

......whats up next?

BaM - as often as I do them, I do find larger minis a lot more stressful, and I'm actively trying to reduce the number I buy. The problem is that GW makes some pretty damn impressive big models. Thanks though buddy!

Hairster - Thanks a lot! Not sure about what's next. I've got a massive pile of things to do and no real inspiration in there. Might put it up to a vote.

Edit: just a quick count:
  • Belisarius Cawl
  • 30th Birthday Primaris Captain
  • Stormcast Knight Questor
  • Another Stormcast Knight Questor
  • Converted Big Orruk
  • Infamy Tara Kurkova
  • Constantin Valdor
  • Any of my Inquisitor retinue
