Now don\'t get me wrong- \"football\" to me, as a Chicagoan, means NFL and the Bears.

That being said, as long as Rooney\'s scan comes back alright and Beckham and Gerrard stay healthy, I think the 3 Lions are ready to repeat 1966! Come on England!

Come now!! The kicking game is a VERY important element of the game.

The game starts with a KICK-off. If you can\'t get a first down, you PUNT the ball to the other side. A field goal (kicked) is worth 3 pts. An extra point (kick) is worth 1.

Everytime one team scores, they are required to kick the ball to the other team.

ALL the players have feet.

Besides...how many Crickets are used in a Cricket match????

CRICKET! It is sooooooooooo boring. Lets not go there.

I was up in the early hours the other morning with my newborn son and put the telly on and out of curiosity I watched some Baseball ( I\'m in the UK, so this has a bit of a novelty factor), but oh my god, it is soooooooooo boring. ITs as boring as cricket.

Oh definately.... Baseball is a relative snoozefest....and not something that works at all well on Television. Baseball is a great sport to play though.

I take some offense at the cricket bashing. I think cricket can be fast-paced and fun to watch but, like baseball, you have to get through the long periods of inactivity. But while I like cricket I can\'t take it too seriously...because I\'m a West Indies fan!

I enjoyed playing 5 a side.
Used to enjoy the matches at St.James Park.
But sitting watching Sport on TV...Nah rather watch paint dry. (Work it out)

Beside nowadays it seems as if the heart and soul has gone out of the sport and it\'s all business.
Go to the smaller Conference league clubs to see real enthusiastic players.

Supervike: The Vikings are cool. I was particularly enamored of them after the sex boat scandal. I can\'t see what all the fuss was. They were acting like Vikings! Now if we could get the Bears to act like bears and eat some people we\'d be on a roll.
Incidentally European types, we like boring baseball...it calms us after football season and keeps us from bashing the crap out of other fans...which seems to be the standard for countries that love soccer..err..football whatever.
