Hi! It's one of my first's post on this forum. I was thinking about creating my own topic and showing my miniatures here from a long time, but I'm not good in english and that was a little scary for me. So I hope you will be forgiving for me ;) And now here are some miniatures I would like to show:

Here are first five of 10 black templars in pre heresy armours which I'm now painting:

My experiment, I'm painting this guy using only black and white paint :)

And They boss, Helbrecht:

I hope you like them all and I didn't made many mistakes and did'nt create this topic in bad pleace :D

Regards.

the only thing thats bothering me a little bit is the bricks Helbrecht, don't know, they distract(?) me somewhat...

oh and nice NMM!

beautiful work, very nice indeed. The black and white only templar works very well indeed. As has already been said, your NMM is also aces.

Oh, and don't worry about your English - communication is the point here, not pretty sentences, and anyway, as they say, a picture is worth a thousand words :)

Gorgeous work. I love how dark and broody they are. NMM, and all highlights for that matter, look perfect. But I would like to see pics just a little brighter. :)

That's really awesome work flameon!! you should't be shy about that work! I wish I would paint that well.
I love the Helbrecht and black and white experiment you did!
as for English alot of ppl on here do not speak English as a native langue and those who do like me suck at it.

So welcome and I can wait to see what you do next.

really nice the nmm works well in these figures and i'm not a massive fan of the medium, i feel it's over used. but here it suits the style of the squad

Awesome paint job. But on the fluff side if I am not wrong black Templars didn't exist at heresy time... Just being anal here ;)

True. However, they are always crusading and could have recovered the armor from some lost planet or space hulk, and then had their artificers restore it to working condition.

Yeah, that is definitely a possibility. . .

Anyway, can you share with us the steps and techniques that you used for the black?
Maybe also the brands of paint?
Thank you.

At risk of missing the point I actually found the brickwork interesting, not to say that it out shone the figure, it just looked right when juxtaposed with the newness of the metalwork of the figure. The right amount of flatness and accuracy of colour.

Painting black colour was kind of easy. I was looking on miniature and start imagine where the colour schould schine. Next I mark this point with mix of adeptus battlegray ( 50:50 ) an chaos black. next made a smaller mark witch pure adeptus, and next with adeptus and a little bit scull white and than i did it again, and again with more white paint until i decided it looks good enough. And it took me some time because I was trying to make this very smooth.

TLP I'm very proud of the bricks and all base, I painted them first with normal paints and when all was finished I started work with dry pigments. And I really like this how it all works. :)
