Hey there guys, new to the place, been lurking for a long time though, twas stickyboy who got me to sign up, so here i am, fresh meat.....
Ive only been painting for about a month and a half, ive just posted up my first finished model some place around here, radagast the brown, id link you up but the picture has to be reviewed first?

Anywhow, here is a black templar sword brethren from one side, im only just getting to grips with blending, all comments welcome, i cant hit you behind a screen haha!

It appears my black templar is not showing himself, can anybody else see it? Or have i done somethin\' wrong?

Its alright. Now the hampster, I have no idea. TBH I don\'t have a clue about the gender of alot of the \'things\' that pass throgh here.

Hehe, probably best kept that way eh!

- edit to add, apparently i cannot work the marvel of modern machinery, nor can i make my templar picture show its self, its under 200kb. Who knows, where this information goes!

thanks for that guys! Sorry about the picture qualitay on ol\' rada, i think ill paint him again at some point too.

Here is my work in progress black templar, i should get him finished within the day or two, so ill post him up complete then.

For now, any advice on blending etc would be loverly, im also going to nmm (for the 2nd time only) on his chains and stuff. I dont know how feasible this is.... we\'ll see.

People really don\'t like having WIP shots in rotation to be voted on. My suggestion would be to go here, set up an account, and move your image from CMON to there. Then, you can post the image directly into this thread. Like this:

congrats on the entry to the hardest, best and fastest way to learn the tricks of the trade.i see you have already been hazed lol. some people have aparently missed the very nice tut. on manners and proper way to critique. your minis are very nice. (enter what everyone else has said about your minis). i enjoy that your pics are in focus and very close up. radagast could use a base(they make a big difference). the staff could use some work and the bird maybe a wash or two. the SB BT Space Marines (phheeeww) cloak is well blended. Maybe some more angles (gawd i love angles) on the photos. ok ok im done ...... cough ....[size=-2]GREAT START[/size]

I think alot of people don\'t like when wip shots turn up in the gallery, but that should not be your greatest reason to post here, I think you\'ll get much more feedback if you post it here. It will also be easier for us to follow your work if you do ;). You also avoid shitty comments, though meant in a good way I think. ´

Think your SM\'s cape is really well blended, so I\'m looking forward to seeing the rest of him. Keep up the good work.

Ive cleaned him up a little since this photograph was taken (a few days ago), thanks dudes who helped me out, safe.
My first try at glowing eyes, my first try at a lot of things really lol, ive also toned down that shiney b** metal down a little too.. i get carried away. I\'ll post him up finished and based in a jiffy.

I think it looks messy yet clean... Does that make sense?

Kind of like a large oil painting :) The blends aren\'t smooth, but they are done in such a way that they still look effective.

I think it\'s a great start.
But - I think it\'s time for THE CMoN quote here:

I\'m also liking the colour scheme and the (Dwarven bronze?) Weapon casings. Good reds too, and the OSL is pretty well done.

Ohhhh i do thin my paints i swear i do! clearly not enough! Lol, yah im gonna have to get to work on smoothing out the blends though.
Yeh the osl was my first time, i intend to do a lot of it. Ive done a tough of nmm on her gold dangly bits, mmmm, gold dangly bits.
