Fire Genasi

Hey, everybody!

This latest is an old Reaper mini, I think. It\'s been sitting around for a while. I wanted to paint it up as a Fire Genasi, a race descended from fire elementals, hence the strange red skin, fiery hair and all. I did her armor with metallics, but I wanted to give NMM a go and tried that on her sword blade.

the highlights on the skin look a bit harsh, to me they should be smoother.

the sword looks nice but a bit dark, i suspect that\'s the photo tho as the overal picture looks that way.

I think it looks great. I have no comments on the NMM. Its being done so much by everyone it just does nothing for me anymore. Kind of like eating chicken every night for dinner.

I like the skin tone and hair but not sure about the color selection for the robes. Im thinking yellow or orange would go better but still great paint job. I did the vote thing.

I still need to keep working on my blending technique. Smooth skin really challenges me! My paint is either so thin as to not show up or too thick and I have problems with demarcation lines. I\'ll keep at it!

I kind of went back and forth on her skirts, robes, whatever. This race is supposed to favor clothing of fiery colors, but I thought that might be a distraction from her skin and hair. I chose the purple as a compliment to the yellows and there\'s red in purple and I thought that might help tie things together. I might have to try something like this again with firey cloths and see how that comes out.
