Took me two attempts. COngratulations. So what state do you live in so I can stay off the roads while you get in a little practice? :D

Seriously though, i still remember my first drive on my own after having passed my test.... I loved it.....

Of course, my brother totalled his pickup truck on his first drive afterwards

lollol

Laura is about to go in for her first test soon, she passed the written test with 34/35 so that aint to bad.

Congrats and welcome to the wonderful life of the designated driver.

Sorry to say I was a \"pass first-timer\" and back in the olden days before those newfangled written tests.

Funny to say it but my very first test i failed because i bumped a curb while reversing with no other faults. I literally bumped the curb and the instructor failed me, so in all fairness i still think i should have passed first time

thanks everyone!

Nope 5 times for me as well.

Was really nervous everytime, had the same miserable guy as an examiner.
Was usually the same thing clipping the corner of the same junction with the back wheel. Difficult one to see around due to the trees in the Avenue and narrow hence the bump.
Last time I did it, Driving slow as to not clip the kerb I ended up doing an emergency stop immediatly after due to a Dog running out froma garden and across the road.

Oh man, that was 30 years ago!

They had curbs 30 years ago?!? lol

Congrats! Now that you have the license there has to be police around for any blunders to matter, and that almost never happens!

I\'ve got my 4th road test on the 16th! I get way too nervous. Bumped the curb the first 2 times, and the last time almost ran a stop sign. Well, the instructor person said go \"straight\" to the next stop sign.... lol.
I hope I pass this time...it\'s getting embarrassing. hehe

In Oz they usually fail you the first 2 times just to make you take lessons. And just cause you yanks drive on the right hand side doesnt make it the \"right\" side to drive. Congrats MF hmm that doesnt sound so good.

Nice one mate! I passed on my second time. I had to do the theory test, but there was no hazard perception test then. I heard it sucks. My little sister passed first time, the cowbag!

My boyfriend managed to pass on his 7th try. That was over a year ago, and he hasn\'t been behind the wheel of a car since. For all that I love him, I sincerely hope it\'s not me that has to be in the car with him the first time he drives again. A friend of his from Uni passed on her 8th attempt, and being in a car with her is nervewracking because she gets sooooo stressed. I hate backseat drivers myself, so I really have to bite my tongue and not say anything, or risk becoming that which I hate.

To be far to dragonsreach it was far harder in his day. After all you had all those extra dials and levers for regulating the steam pressure:D not to mention you had to be careful not to run over the guy walking along waving a red flag in front of you :D

And you had to do all that cranking on the front lever just to start the thing.
