I saw the mini on #2727 the paint work is excellent!! An incredible mini...the iceball that was added is also very cool and makes the model that much more impressive...

I was wondering about the process of getting the copper sulphate to crystalize on the wire....and where to get copper sulphate. Any imput would be appreciated.

No offense to mathieu, but I\'m not sure the copper sulfate thing is such a good idea in the long run. It is a water-soluble salt after all, and long-term damage may result from humidity in the air. I can\'t deny that it is da bomb on #2727 though! An ingenious way of depicting a \"magical blast\" type effect.

That said, personally, I\'d nick some CuSO4 from my lab. You may not have this option, so you might want to look for one of those \"grow crystals at home\" kits at a toy store. These are a variety of innocuous salts that you dissolve in boiling water, as the water cools they come out of solution and crystallize on whatever objects you have in the pot. Very cool.

Thanks for the imput

I wish I had access to Black Mesa, however even if I did it has been blown up anyway, unfortunatly. Mabye thats why you took up the carreer change to mini painting. :D. Anyway, thanks for the imput and the link. I\'ll have to look into those kits.
