Hi there.

I´m having some difficulty understanding how this attack works.

The way fiery arc is worded, it seems that additionally to the number of attack dice listed, you than (after the normal attack dice are completed) add more magic dice to new attacks? So potentially a total of 6 dice?

You perform the Fiery Arc attack (3 dice). After that attack is complete you may select up to 3 enemies that were originally targeted, who then suffer an additional 1 die attack each.
