Female faces tutorials, make-up?

Has anybody ever seen an accessible tutorial on how to paint various types of make-up on female faces? I heard Ali McVey talk some things about that on Demon Day but later when I got curious, looked quite a bit and have found next to no published information...

Possibly a strange topic to research :D

Couldn't you pick up a fashion mag or two (or a lads' mag!) and just try to copy what you see in the photos?

Yes, I have considered that. For now, I wanted something with more direct instruction. Thank you though, I'll keep that for the future.

Try you tube...xsparkage give very good tutorials. Learning how women put make up on will help, in how to select colors. you are just doing in paint what they do in make up.

Ah but learning how to apply the goo for photos vs. life are two different things. At least for some gals, others prefer spackle and the shovel that goes with it. ;)

Try this as the simplest basic method: paint the face normally; mix up blusher and eyeshadow colours and blend some of each about 1:1 with your basic flesh mix, then layer these on carefully where appropriate.

The blend with the flesh colour will help avoid that streetwalker look but if necessary you can amp up the colour by glazing very thinly with the source mix for any of the makeup colours.
