If they were bought in the UK then local Trading Standards office might like to know (local to where they were from).

If from abroad the only people who might be interested is the Customs and Excise - but I doubt it.

If brought through EBay you should inform them and they may well remove the seller from their site.

If the original minis were made by a manufacturer who is still in business they would be very interested.
For eg GW is always very keen to tackle fraudulent use of their copyrights so as they were Citadel minis they would be very pleased to hear from you

None of this is likely to get you your money back however although if bought using a credit card (depends on the amount of the spend) you might have some luck getting a refund from the card co.

hope this helps

£20... ouch! Can you tell us more about these minis, for our own edification? What \"hallmarks\" of fakeness do they have? Is it possible for your to post pictures? I\'ve never seen counterfeits/recasts that I know of, this could be interesting.

Try contacting your Credit card co direct as they share liability with the seller and you may be able to get them to refund you- the seller must have an account with your card company and the card co would not be pleased to know that one of their accounts was operating fraudulently.

I assume you have already contacted the seller with your concerns? - If not you should do so - either to get reassurance that the figures are genuine (doesnt stop you taking other action) or to try to get a refund.

I am not familiar the minis in question but know that some of the early GW stuff is crap - as no such agency asks - why are you so sure they are fake?

im sure there fake for several reasons, in 80\'s the minis where lead alloy the ones i recieved are to light, secondly the mini is multi part and the seller said he in description he had to remove all the paint, strangely the every part of the mini has been primed individually even parts that dont show when assembled(suspicous), i stripped off primer and the patina of the metal is not right also i couldnt find any residue of previous paint job(this mini has a lot of nooks and crannies), thirdly the metal is more brittle than lead based, more like a modern pewter mini, now primer is gone the mini shows signs of being recently trimmed and the trimmed bits are very shiny, lead dulls quite quickly, the tab on the base of on foot kaleb that came with it isent right, i already have one of these so i could compare, the casting is rough to the touch where it should be smooth, all of these things say to me its a fake

ive not contacted seller for several reasons, there is evidence in his feedback history auctions that hes buying rare oop mini and recasting, it seems from what i can tell hes moving into resin as well, there is a resin item ltd ed that he bought a week ago he put it on sale (yesterday i think) with buy it now for less than what he paid for it, must only be a matter of days since he received it. i have contacted gw and they are investigating , so i didnt want to alert him
