Facial questions

I\'m working on a dark skinned marine face and I have some questions to pose. The model has a large scar running across the face, would it be correct to just lighten the inner part of the scar with some pinkish color or light flesh to get a realistic effect? Also I need to paint the lips and have no clue what colors should be used. If any one has any ideas, suggestions, or references I\'d be deeply greatful. For reference my basecoat on the model is GW dark flesh, i then mixed in terreacoata, then started progressively adding in dwarf flesh to highlight up.

Use Elf Flesh as the scar definition.

Scars vary. Try a few things on a scrap of plastic card undercoated in your basic skintone mix, see what you think looks right.

Mixing up a darker, slightly redder version of the flesh mix usually works okay.

that doesn\'t look too bad but I would use a color slightly lighter than the color you used to highlight the cheeks and rest of the face. That elf flesh is a little too bright and doesn\'t really match the dark color of your character.

Granddad!
good effort so far

make a thin glaze of your base, about 8-10:1 paint:water
apply several glazes till your transitions are more gradual
