Hi guys,
Been awhile since I did a WIP but have been busy as the pictures below will show, I plan to not buy any new figures in 2010 and try to make a dent in my lead mountain. I have started this thread so when i hear the call of the new lead you guys can slap me back on the straight and narrow.
The pictures show my Xmas present a German Pznr Company which I am doing in winter, plus some ECW I am working on for my Dad and lastly some 15mm terrain I am making.

Nice one Exiles, a dozen tanks snuck in before the shopping embargo begins :D Do you use big brushes or airbrush? And how many 15mm troops do you hope to blast through, a few units or whole armies? Those Civil War fellas for your Dad look nice & neat, I can imagine a field full of those looking very pleasing indeed :good:
Cheers, B.

I'm also on a self imposed mini buying ban, almost 3 months in :D

Add how long it's been to your sig, and make it a statement you can't go back on!

Best of luck - that's a lot of tanks.

cheers guys,
@B painted with big brush and oil washes, I have 3 companies of inf to paint all Flames of War, plus some SYW cav
@boristfrog will add to sig when I reach end of each week 52 to go:silly:
@SkelettetS Yes flames of War just got back into it due to my LGS launching the range, and my attempt at a painting group warpped into a wargames club which I said I would not get involved in (I am the Sec now:eyeroll!:) I have very little will power, which will make the figure Ban all the more impresive.

That's a good idea. Although I'm not on a buying ban, I'm going to have to count all the unpainted and do a countdown of some sort.

Love to see another hobbyist take an attempt at the 'lead mountain'.

The FOW stuff is really cool, and they look like they'd be fun to paint.

was going to take a picture of the mountain but did not have a wide angle lense:tremble!:, i guess mine in not to bad I recon I have 600/700 wargames figures 10x 54mm and 20 odd what I would term 28mm display figures (ones which will get more time and effort), then again that is just the lead a few hundred plastics aswell guess I do not need anymore.

Great to see some historical WIPs.

The painted Panzers look great! Can't wait to see what you do with the Panthers.

Are the ECW minis from Wargame Factory?

Ah nice. Can't wait to see those done, I have a soft spot for the Panther tanks.

I have a few boxes of the warlord Romans and they were indeed very nice as far as assembly goes.

Oh they are :) For one thing, they can look really nice without the kind of agonizing fussy blending and layering that has become the minimum standard in figure painting. And you can detail and modify them with some basic sculpting skills to produce a lot of individualization and character (if a vehicle can have "character").

I love the winter scheme on those panzers, jjb, especially the streaky unkempt look on the "schurzen" plates. The white camo was just whitewash applied with mops and rags, after all.

the mini's are brill but the cat really impressed me its so life like lol, but really good work there you must have eyes like a hawk to paint something so small

The last photo is BRILLIANT!!! How did you get this fur so pure white and fluffy!?!?! Are the eyes made of resin? and the whiskers? Which material did you used? AND which scale is that "stomper"?

*smile* my "stomper" has a round belly and lies normally on my favourite painting place... (the lamp is so waaarmmm.... purrrrr)

nice goblin, I like the glow in the eyes... will you make him a scotish caro on the cloths?

Greetings, Taggi.
