Evil Dead Hero

I want to create a miniature of Ash Williams the hero from the Evil Dead movies. My problem is I am looking for a model that has a regular button down shirt. Any suggestions? I also remember seeing a new figure coming out based on this character but i cant seem to find it again. Any help with that would be great too.

you could also go with a torn shirt, or no shirt and sculp a shoulder belt on him.

This is funny, as it was just this past Saturday night that I watched \"Army of Darkness\" again for the first time in ages, and one of the first things I though of was about a miniature version of Ash! lol I do seem to remember seeing one somewhere a while back, or at least hearing of one, but for the life of me, I can\'t remember where.

Therefore, I\'d start by taking a look at Ray the Zombie Hunter by Hasslefree:

He\'s actually based on Shaun from \"Shaun of the Dead\" so he does have the tie, but that could probably be filed down easily enough. But you could get him along with their Weapon Pack B and get the shotgun and chainsaw, too, all in one go -- everything you need for a quick conversion! He comes holding a shotgun, obviously, but in the wrong hand. To make Ash, replace the cricket bat with a shotgun resting on his shoulder, and then replace the shotgun in Ray\'s right hand with the chainsaw; file down the tie, add a bit of greenstuffed wavy hair (and maybe even the shotgun holster across his back) and you\'re all set!

I looked at the hasslefree line and thought the same thing. One thing though, with all the fantasy and historical miniatures out there i cant believe there isnt one with a button down shirt, or a tattered one. And I have searched. I am probably gonna use the Ray figure, except probably switch heads. He doesnt have that Ash chin.HaHa.

Cool, Friar, thanks for the link -- that\'s the one I\'d seen before. I think I forgot about Laughing Monk because it\'s part of Shadowforge and, just as a matter of personal taste, I\'m not a fan of Shadowforge\'s figures... therefore, I don\'t think to go back there too often.

As for Lonewolf\'s conversion, I think it\'s great-looking figure in general, and is obviously very well painted; awesome basing, too! But for it being Ash, specifically, it bugs me that the weapons should be on the opposite arms, and I would like to see the hair/jaw be more Bruce Campbell-like. And is it just me, or is the shotgun stock off at an angle, as compared to the barrels?

Thats the exact one. I forgot all about Laughing Monk. I think they could have done a better job IMO. The hasslefree weapon set is superbly crafted and look great. I would still love to know of any minis, with just a button down shirt, still mind blown about that.Thanks for the replies.
