Not sure about those specifically but polymer clays have been used for the master of figs that have been cast in metal, presumably from vulcanised moulds.

If you're after threads, try a search! Come on, it's not rocket science. There's a big online community of people doing stuff in polymer clays and a wealth of guides and info available.

I've done quite a bit of sculpting that has been vulcanisied. SS simply isn't strong enough to withstand the pressure (I hear it's about 2000 pounds) and it get's heated to around 350F which is too hot for SS. Stick to the two part clays. GS and some stuff called Pro Create are two part clays that when set up are a tad flexible which is good. For the bulkey parts something like Magic Sculpt, which sets up very hard and brittle, is fine. For smaller parts that may break off due to the pressure, use GS or PC.

are any of they 2 part epoxys less sticky like the SS? i think that is what i like the most about ss is that being less sticky i can work it easier.

Not sure but a lot of Rackham sculptors used Fimo, which is a polymer clay similiar to the Sculpey brand, and they had metal minis, same with Infinity which MIKH who uses Fimo mainly has sculpted for. I might be totally wrong but I think they do a sculpt in polymer clay, then make a resin mold and then make a cast and make metal models out of that.
This might be totally wrong but I think this might be the way to do it.

thanks cleen x. What does everyone think of the instant mold? i am starting to think maybe start with SS and then use instant mold to form a model from pro create.

Magic sculpt is not as sticky. It's the one that sets up very hard and brittle. Good for mechanical/hard edged pieces.
