Firstly and most importantly, the graphics here are not my work. They are cards that I found at BGG, but also a few elsewhere. The purpose of them was to enhance the game.
So thank you to all the authors that made these cards...
Enhanced Searching
Objective
To make searhing a little more fun and perhaps more rewarding without creating an unbalance in the game play.
Rules
At start of play, along with spawn and search cards, the green deck is placed shuffled face down.
The starting cards are dealt to players face down randomly so they cannot see their starting weapon. While these cards are unseen, each player can change only one of their yet to be seen cards for the top card from the Green Deck ( dealt face down ).
If they control three characters, only one may change a card.
If six individual players control once player each, they may each change a card.
During gameplay, a player has a chance to use the green deck for searching.
If they wish to do this, they declair it before they search and roll a single die. If they get a 6 then they pick from the green deck as opposed to the red deck. If they do not roll a 6, they pick from the red deck.
That's it!
---
Having play tested three games so far with this, it works really well. It adds a little spice to the searching without unbalancing the game.
Here is the Green Deck compared to the Red Deck.
The green deck contains 96 cards, 88 of them are unique.
---
How to make the deck...
1. Create your cards in format like shown.
Each is is 488x750 pixels in size.
2. Do the same for the backs as well using the same size for the backs.
3. Print out the card back sheet first, being sure to print with it centred.
4. Rotate the sheet with the card pictures 180 and print out on the other side of the paper ensuring that the paper goes in base first ( bottom of cards first ).
5. I am printing on A4 Mirror Premium Plus Photo Paper. This is double sided Gloss / Matte - 230 GSM.
6. When printed, I spray both sides ( one side at a time so do this twice ) with GHiANT Inkjet Fix Gloss. It gives the cards a slightly rougher feel to the touch but protects them. Leave each side to dry for about 45 mins when you spray. Spray once over lightly.
7. I then cut the cards into their strips when all dryed. It's actually touch dry after about 10 mins.
8. I then cut the strips into the individal cards and round the corners with a 1/8 corner cutter. I use a crop-a-dile Corner Chomper.
So thank you to all the authors that made these cards...
