Well after getting a little bored from doing a rank and file group of models i thought i\'d paint something i had lying around. The detail is all free hand and i wanted to get more used to watering down my paints for a smoother blend and working with white more, im slowly getting better but its still very tricky too. Especially getting white to give a smooth consistency.

Comments and criticisms are very welcome and i hope everyone had a good xmas :)

I love all the freehand work on this model, do you use a veiwing aid or is this all naked eye work? 8 over all

naked eye :) btw what do you mean by viewing aid? a reference of some sort? I only needed a reference once for the snake/serpent symbol straight from the uk GW site just so i knew what the symbol looked like :) thanks for the comment

Ah, no nothing like that just a crappy table lamp. And the reason its so shiny is that i had to use the flash on my camera because the light i normally use for taking images is broken so i wasn\'t getting enough light on the mini.

Hi there. On the whole the figure looks good. The purple cloak and the red armour work well and look nice. The areas of white look a little flat in the photo... having done some of these myself I know that white has a tendency to look flat in photos, when in real life it looks fine.

Things that I would personally change are the blue gems ... they seem out of place as they are the only bits of blue on the model. I would have stuck to green for the body and purple for the wraithcannon. The black on the model also looks like it could do with a bit more highlighting.

Those things aside it is a good mini.. a whole squad would look pretty stunning on the battlefield.
