Had this one sitting around for ages so I finally finished it off. The white cloak took me a very long time to and I would have liked a bit of freehand work on it, I tried to do it once but was just unhappy so I have decided to leave it as it is.

very cool. the base would be dull but those mushrooms make it look brilliant. the rest of it is superbly blended (as ever)

Great blends on the purple and the yellow, the white really paid off too, (well worth the struggle)
I guess it\'s the photos, but the black looks like it needs to pop more to hang together with the rest of the model. I\'d give it at least another layer of highlights to bring it up.
my favourite part is the spear tip, beautiful.

Beautiful use of complementary colours to give a very strong contrast to this mini.
My only observation would be that I would have preferred to see a third colour such as a Jade-like green in the gems to offsett the strong purple. This would have given the figure a full Triad colour base.
However the blending is superb and the use of White/Grey as a \"softener\" to the whole figure really works.
Well done.

(Edit: I still think you lighting is slightly \"out of whack\" as I think the background is in reality white. You need to tweek the image in Photoshop a little to manage the levels between Background & Forground. )

PS watch out for an incoming Hammer.

Thanx all for the great comments. i\'m glad you like it.
I think I should really invest in a better photo editor, I just use a basic version of abode photoshop (one free with my mobile phone) and windows paint.
As for the black i\'m going to have to some more practice, black is one scheme i\'m not to comfortable with and I seem to try to avoid it. An entirely black mini is in order I think.

Well looking at the 100\'s of unpainted miniatures I have I can see a few that may be suited for the task.
-lots of ninja, I have a nice 54mm one also
-A dark eldar character model which i\'m converting into more of an assassin.
- a gothic looking female miniature
-and also A raven guard spacemarine model for the local hobby shop (I looked at the games workshop version and its rather white which does\'nt seem fitting for a Raven)
I am actually working on a terminator chaplain aswell at the moment but he has lots of bone and scroll areas but his armour is black.
Anyway i\'m sure I could spot more among the minatures on my shelf.
