Yes the plaster took a lot of time.... but fun...the worst part was priming after the carving and assembly was done.
The effing GW spray left it grainy... I went and rinsed it off seemed to work well ( you soak the plaster when carving so I did not think so much about the water factor) the structure fell apart in my hands the super glue did not hold with the pressure of the weight when wet.

I had 2 days to finish reassembly and painting the base, thus the relief that I did.

Hi there, some good stuff. Cool idear and it seems like you really worked your a** of on this one, always nice trying new stuff. It all sets a sinister mood and your minis are painted top class. The green light is a little to much imo, but that is a smaller thing.

two things to consider

one: lightweight hydrocal works much better.

two: next time you have the problem with the plaster before painting it, you can seal it with 2% milk. the milk fills in the tiny pockets and calcifies it , at which time it gives it a nice sheen and primes it for use with paint.

just a bit of advice for workign with plaster. hope it works out better next time.

rock on

hydro-cal was used as the base of the base but carving is much easier and efficient with plaster for me...my hands czn not handle the strength of the other

Thank you for the milk idea though it may be of assistance in the future never heard of it even after many hours on the hirst site I will try it with the left over pour today and see how it does sounds great :D

BTW vike
