Well, now I try to do some WIP diary here... starting with my newest project:

A fat Ogre - tribute to World of Warcraft :)

Everybody knows this game, and no other game in these times has touched the gaming-community more, then everything else... World of Warcraft.

I like it, I play it, and I want to do something related to WoW.

A few weeks ago I thought, it\'s time that I buy some ogre-miniatures... those are one of the many that are still missing in my collection. And then the idea came up to combine this with my wow-idea:

Letz do a cool WoW-Warhammer-Ogre ^^

For now I plan to do a normal Ogre and something like a \"boss\", inspired from the game. I want to do it as exact as possible, to make it look like in the game.
For this I made some screenshots:

This one shows the normal ogre I want to do, skin-color something between red-brown to light orange with some flesh... I\'ll try Scab Red, Terracotta and Bronzed Flesh. My ogre may have pants \'cause I\'m not so sure about modelling some feet... ^^

I started a few days ago with a normal ogre bull, here is what I\'ve done so far:

Still some gaps to fill and some things to smooth down, but I am satisfied with it at the moment...

What do u think? Any suggestions, comments... ?

The tusks on the mouth need to be fatter and more prominent on the face, when looking at the screenshot that was the first facial feature i noticed.

Looking good so far. I agree with what Matty said, and also I think the head should be a bit smaller to match the screenshot. The sculptwork is very smooth :)

I think you could increase his girth easily by using an ORC head instead of an Ogre head.....You\'d still need to do some greenstuff work, but it would be a bit closer to the actual pic.

I really like your sculpt on the fat. The bulge and fold is perfect. All in all I think that this is excellent work. Good job!

sculpt is excellent, paint job needs some freehand though, like the tattoos and trim on the loincloth.

i bet custom minis based on people\'s WoW characters would make some serious scratch. :)

Think the belly bulge over the belt is spot on.

Paint job looking a bit too red at the moment. Another highlight to come yet?

Looking forward to the base though

OK I see what your doing now. Nice job so far. Your green work is very good and the flesh tones look spot on.
