Easy white marines??

Whats the easiest way to paint white space marines?

I was thinking of starting with astronomican grey foundation paint, then panting white over the top, leaving the grey in the recesses. Then shading with some really watered down grey

Will that be ok or does anyone know a better way?

This of for some commander models to be used in Space Crusade

Probably look stupid as part of a basic paint job; as you will have matt over most of the model and then these really reflective bits. I don\'t see it working myself. As stated you can\'t highlight white so best to just shade it down. Astronomicon grey or space wolf grey can give a cool look to the white as they have a blue tint to them. For a more neutral white you can use Codex Grey. Have an experiment and see what you like the best.:)

As Nels0nmac suggested washing over with dilute colours can give you variations of warm to cool white.
Try Bleached Bone as a \"warmer\" shade, I think that would look good to distinguish Officers or Articifer armour.
