Digital camera

I am getting ready to buy a digitial camera and I was wondering what features are need for taking good pics of miniatures? Any advice on his would be appreciated.

A tripod!
And try to avoid digital zoom, it just enlarges the pixels. Look for one with a good optical zoom.

Hi Matt

2 megapixels....more the better
macro.....dont be fooled by the super close up macros..that close to the figure you will get shadow from the camera over your mini.
tripod......
timer function......gets rid of shake from button press.
dont forget usb so you can get the pics onto PC then a decent editor,Photoshop=the best but costly.....Paint shop pro....I use it....still costs.......Gimp.....free to download and a lot use it.


EDIT.....specific camera depends on what cash you have to spend.
What is your budget??

klute I was going to try and stay under 300 currently looking at hp photosmart 945 and sony cybershot dsc-w7 on ebay

I suggest the Canon A series.
