I haven't tried the new gw paints but it says they are gel formulated so I'm not sure if they'd be any good in an airbrush, my store is a bit behind the gw releases so I haven't even seen them yet but from the description and the example pictures it looks like their ardcoat or some other thick gloss medium with a drop of ink or paint

looks like that yeah, but still interested as in the pictures the result looks pretty nice for doing lots of gems ( HE, Eldar) and could be good for a candy-coat.

But I'd also read some reviews than buying them. Especially as I have all the old inks, vallejo transparents and tamiya clears. So it's not likely that I really need it at all.

Yeah I with on not really needing them, but if usefully I guess picking them up won't hurt. That gel paints aren't something I worked with before. I try out the AK wax paints for metal great for large scale not so much on 28/35 range.

I guess wait to hear about them and or see them in person.

Yea the pictures do look good if it really is that simple, it would have been nice if they'd made a clear version too for other colours, they look like they would be great on smaller gems where doing it manually with glazes might be difficult

I quick video would have been great like they did with other technical paints. Plus more colors as well, but I can see them coming out with few more colors.

Smaller gems are tricky to do at lest for me, with ghost tints and nitro line as brush work with them is rather tricky to get it right. So if easier for small detail work I may have to pick them up.

Yeah the description makes it sound too good to be true, base coat silver and put a bit of this new stuff on and jobs done, luckily by time my local store gets any of it there should be some videos or reviews about it online somewhere, I find tiny gems hard too, especially on non-gw models where they are usually even smaller

That video pretty much confirmed my thoughts on them, they're basically different colours of blood for the blood God and they don't look like the magical solution the write up would have you believe

Yeah the video summed up what I was thinking just another version of the ink/glaze/tint. If it were in a unquie color(s) I might try it out.

it could be usefully for blood effects other than red if looking for that.
