Desperately seeking mini ! ;)

Hey,

As a few of you may know, I am well underway to building Helms Deep.

I was just wondering if any of you know where I might find some statues similar to the ones used in The Two Towers in Helms Deep :

Here is an idea what if you got minis and painted them as statues I have seen it work well in others work may be an answer

I dont have any chess pieces that would be suitable, nor have I seen any, lol.

Any suggestions for appropriate minis ?

Looks like a greek statue to me. I think if you looked for Zuess or maybe even Thor (I know hes not greek). Reaper should have something similair There is also an Oz company that make Greek Mythos minis I look for it and get back to you. Good luck.

I would just look for any viking or barbarian figure and go with that. Just paint it up to look like a statue.

You may want to go with an older mini as the newer ones have more dynamic poses. Try either Grenadier or Iron Wind Metals (Ral Partha).

To be honest thought they look to be a lot heavier armoured than the one you posted.

You could also try some gift shops.
There\'s one in the nearby mall here, sells a variety of silly tourist stuff, pewter dragons (you know, those ones with the glass balls or crystals on them that people use as paper-weights).. and ceramic statues that might actually suit, with a bit of green stuff modification.
