Greetings - I\'ve only just joined CMON, and thought I\'d start by saying \'hello\' and posting a few pics of my WIP Death Guard army \'Pandemic\'. It\'s my first ever army, and I\'ve really been bitten by the converting-and-sculpting bug...
Lord Kothaar the Putrescent, leader of his band of pustulent miscreants:
He\'s a mishmash of Terminator, Possessed and Spawn bits and green stuff; I\'m maniacal about making everything look like it belongs together in the finished mini, with no obvious \'here is the green stuff\' parts, and I like the way this guy\'s turned out.
One of my Plague Terminators:
This is the first mini I ever finished, by the way...as such I think he\'s pretty decent. All my Terminators have at least this level of conversion on them; I love my Terminators, and wanted to make a really imposing unit of lumbering behemoths.
Jaws, my Possessed Champion:
In the last few months I\'ve been starting to really work on developing my sculpting; when I came up with the idea for having a huge vertical mouth in the body of a mini I wasn\'t sure I could pull it off at all, so I\'m pretty pleased with how this monstrosity has turned out. He may well be my favourite conversion to date, and I can\'t wait to see him painted up.
What do you get when you stuff an Ogre into a set of XXXXL Terminator plate? You get a Terminogre:
I\'ve gotten really into doing these guys now, and the mini I\'m currently working on is a Terminogre Havoc Champion with a vehicle rocket launcher hoisted onto his shoulder to count as a missile launcher. And look cool
A detail shot of the amount of work I\'ve put into Dreadnought Vvornth:
I particularly like all the cabling & tubing, and the tendrilly head...
And finally one of my Spawn; this guy\'s named Wolfie, since he\'s based on the \'Loper\' monsters from \'Return To Castle Wolfenstein:
He\'s almost all scratchbuilt apart from the Ogre torso and head; I especially like the torn flesh around the base of the torso.
And I\'m starting to turn my hand to scratchbuilding, again in an attempt to improve my overall sculpting abilities; here\'s a 3-up scale Ork head I did:
So, there you go. All C&C is welcomed*...I\'ll be posting more updates as I get stuff done.
*I still feel pretty much like a noob even though I\'ve been modelling for about a year now, so be nice
